This A- line Belt pattern gown features a mock angarkha (wrap) V-neckline, short sleeves and a slightly empire waist seam just under the bust, which gives a mildly flared fall.
Yoke & sleeve pattern (upper part): The yoke and sleeves are done in a patchwork-style print on a light base. Small rectangular and square blocks repeat across this area, each block containing a different motif with floral sprays, nature inspired Big Flower with micro motifs. This mix of tiny florals and big florals gives a boho, hand-crafted “patch” effect. The neckline edge and arm hems are finished with solid piping, sharply framing the printed patches.
Empire waist & paneling: A slim piped seam defines the empire waist. The skirt is visually divided into central front panel, and two side panels.
Skirt / lower body prints: Centre front panel - Uses a pastel colour ground with a dense all-over floral garden inspired print. Motifs are small blossoms and leaves in white and hints of golden. connected by fine vines; the repeat is tight, giving a rich, continuous look. Side panels: Return to the patchwork block print from the yoke and sleeves, carrying the mix of florals, stripes and chevrons down the sides. piping runs vertically where the centre panel meets the sides, clearly outlining the panel cuts and adding length to the silhouette.
Overall design effect: The gown combines two coordinated prints: light patchwork blocks (floral) on yoke, sleeves and side panels, small motif floral on the central skirt. The contrast of light patterned sides and yoke with a deep floral centre plus the empire waist seam creates a visually slimming, elongated look with a very lively, Indo-boho aesthetic.
